A parasitic infection caused by Strongyloides stercoralis, spread through soil contact, causing abdominal pain, rash, and in severe cases, hyperinfection in immunocompromised individuals. WHO states that it’s treatable with ivermectin, with prevention via avoiding soil exposure.
